Who we are
Equiscense Horsemanship Ltd is responsible for your information.
Our registered business address is 15 Railway Street, Annfield Plain, Stanley, Co Durham, DH9 7SS. You can contact us using the email address or telephone number shown on this page.
What we collect
When you enquire, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, approximate location, contact preference, information about your horse and the circumstances in which you are seeking support. We also record the time, source and status of the enquiry, together with evidence of the privacy notice and optional marketing choice shown to you.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to respond, assess suitability, discuss services and prices, arrange work where agreed, maintain safety and welfare records, and administer our relationship with you. This processing is necessary to take steps at your request before a contract and, where relevant, to perform a contract. We may also rely on our legitimate interests in operating the business, keeping proportionate records and defending legal claims.
We use your email address for Equiscense news, clinic dates and practical guidance only where you have made the separate optional marketing choice. You can withdraw that consent at any time by replying to an email or contacting us.
Who receives it
Only people who need the information to handle your enquiry or deliver the agreed service have access. We also use carefully selected website hosting, database and email providers acting on our instructions. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become client work are normally kept for up to 24 months so we can answer follow-up questions and understand previous contact. If work is booked, relevant records may be kept longer where needed for contracts, insurance, accounting, safety or legal obligations. Marketing choices are kept until you withdraw consent, together with a limited suppression record so we can respect that withdrawal.
International processing
Some technology providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we require an appropriate UK data-protection safeguard, such as an adequacy regulation or approved contractual protections.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, erase it, restrict how it is used or transfer it. You may object where we rely on legitimate interests. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time.
Contact equiscense@gmail.com to make a request. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
